Pure Mathematics 30
(Non-Credit)
Pure Math 30 This advance course follows the Math 10 and 20
stream. The course includes: Transformations, Conics,
Logarithmic and Exponential Functions, Geometric Series,
Trigonometric functions and Identities, Permutations and
Combinations, and Statistics.
Let’s just take a look!
Chapter 1: Transformations
Learn how to stretch, shift, and transform different types of
functions and graphs.
Chapter 2: Conics:
Different conic shapes can be created by slicing through a
double napped cone, and in this chapter you will learn all about
them!
Chapter 3: Exponential and
Logarithmic Functions
Solve exponential and logarithmic functions algebraically and
graphically, with applications to the real world.
Chapter 4: Geometric Series
This chapter is an extension to the previous chapter. Study
number series that increases by a fixed ratio as well as the
sigma notation .
Chapter 5: Trigonometry I
This chapter introduces angles in radians and the unit
circle. Learn how to draw and analyse sinusoidal functions
graphically.
Chapter 6: Trigonometry II
Use trigonometric identities to solve problems and proofs
both graphically and algebraically.
Chapter 7: Permutations and
Combinations
In this chapter, you will learn more about the fundamental
principles of counting.
Chapter 8: Statistics
Learn to determine probabilities of normal and binomial
distributions.
