ELP Level Assessment
After placement testing on the first day, you will be placed
in the appropriate level. Your final evaluation is based on
classroom performance and participation, in-class quizzes,
homework assignments, and a sample TOEFL.

professionally developed to incorporate the Canadian Language
Benchmarks giving us a solid framework of reference for
learning, teaching, and assessing English as a Second Language.
Created by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the Benchmarks
are a descriptive scale of communicative proficiency in English
as a Second Language expressed as 12 benchmarks or reference
points. These benchmarks form the foundation for our ELP levels as
follows:
