Interesting Facts About Canada
Canada is the United States’ largest trading partner; it is
the second largest country in the world and exports more oil
than any Arab nation; yet the majority of the world knows very
little about Canada’s culture, history or geography. The goal of
this course is an increased familiarity with Canada’s history
and culture and by extension an appreciation of the sometimes
close values that contribute to the true Canadian identity. As a
broad survey, this course combines elements of Canadian history,
Canadian contemporary multi-media discourse and what’s hot and
what’s not!
How You Ask!
Dynamic, student-centered texts are used to target specific
functions and situations. Practicing fluency through role-play,
discussion, projects and games, the students gain confidence and
accuracy. This is Real Talk for the Real Canada. Let’s Get
